Repo!
Repo! fills me with glee at the art, the music, and the characters. I came across it via LJ, and by my Mom finding it via a friend. There was a video from the movie - the song "Chase the Morning" with Sarah Brightman and Alexa Vega. I had never seen Sarah Brightman sing before, and I'd never seen holograms come out of a person's eyes, and the power and feeling in the song made me watch it several times before I actually went off to find out more about the movie.
One of the coolest, most awesome days of my life was going to the Repo! Movie event, where I met Terrence and Bill and Darren and people as nutty as I was. There was the costumes and the makeup and everybody was having a blast. I still remember and still grin about this, and I sing along with the songs.
Kittens
I live in a rural area and for most of my life, I lived across from a farm. This farm had a barn, and thus, tons of barn cats. Needless to say, some of them kind of stuck around my family, and like nature has it, some of the female cats would get pregnant and have kittens. I have played midwife to a cat a few times, and have had kittens in my closet meeping at night. Kittens and cats were, and are, big parts of my life.
Ren Faire
There is a huge freaking Ren Faire in Michigan. Mom has taken me to it a few times and it is awesome. Friendly people, wonderful costumes, beautiful things and oh man. I love Ren Faires.
My RP Universe
It's set around an interdimensional hub - think of it as a train station for the multiverse. This leads to so many bizarre alliances and adventures and friendships and relationships, but so many of them actually work out. You can have a good character meet their evil twin, or have Alucard from Hellsing meet Dante from Devil May Cry, or - it's a mix and match, really.
I have had so much fun, and so many good memories with this universe and stuff. I've made good friends and memories and yeah.
Steampunk
Steampunk is about functional beauty, toughness with aesthetics, romance and adventure and mad science and so much more. When I found it, I fell in love with it, and now I'm aiming to go to a couple of steamcons if Mom and I can manage it.
I may be considering making a pair of wings, if I have time and stuff. >_>
... also, on the RP front - how sad is it to seriously consider playing a character from a game on your iPod? It's just - so beautifully steampunky and wonderful and and and... *whimpers* Sooooooo tempted, guys.
