I got the guts to post a fic-let on a comm! And the person liked it! alkdfj!! I did it!

I might try some other things. Maybe. But still! This is a huge step for me!

Okay, another one I've written. Trigger warning - domestic violence, not written about in detail, but still. Leverage, Parker, she knows love isn't supposed to feel like this.

More, hopefully cheerful/funny ones tomorrow. I'm going to start getting loopy if I keep writing at this time of night.

Today, I woke up at seven o'clock and quickly woke my Mom up after. We'd been planning this, so she wasn't terribly grumpy at me waking her up at a time that we usually never saw except for fleeting glimpses.

There was a Red Cross Walkathon in Downtown Monroe, and I wanted to do it, so we got the dog, got up early, and left, almost thinking that we would be late. We actually ended up early, an amazing experience for the two of us, who are chronically late.

In any case, we chose the medium loop - the two mile one. But we walked, and I gave ten dollars (which was given to me by my Grandma, since I didn't have any cash on me), and some people petted Dresden and said he was pretty. One person said that she had three dogs, and none of them were the size of his head. We said that the three dogs could probably eat Dresden before Dresden even noticed.

When we hit a water station, the two guys taking care of it got a paper cup and gave Dresden some water. They also gave him a health bar, and we laughed and said that Dresden would gulp down anything if he could.

So this morning I kind of felt like I did something good. And plus, I got to walk, listen to music, and see some gorgeous houses as I did.

I suppose that's the only thing really important that happened today, but here are two links I think everyone should read -Internet's Operation Birthday Boy is a Success!, and The Money Tree.

... oh god i want to try some of these. They look delicious!

Anyway, there's been more thunderstorms in my hometown. It really kind of sucks - The phone wires get taken down all the time, and now there's apparently flashflood warnings around. Grandma was worried today and had Grandpa bring me and the baby kitten over. It was pretty scary. At one point the sky was dark but it was still light out - it almost looked like a surrealist painting.

On a cool note, I found an app for my iPod that plays old radio shows. I haven't found that many for The Shadow yet, but I checked out their website and gaaah it looks so cool! I mean, really! I've already listened to a few shows and the sound quality is excellent. I love it.

I'm craving coffee and chocolate chips. Craving, you shall be given into.

Full on warning - AVOID THE USER FORT_KANJI.

He has been known to enable alcoholism, eating disorders, and self harm. He has been prone to cyber-stalking. He has sent knives and beer bottles to young women and asked them to use them for sexual acts.

The post has his accounts and journals on other places as well. Avoid him at all costs.

This makes me incredibly happy.

I actually had no homework tonight. I KNOW RIGHT. I'm going to bed soon though, after I brush my teeth and read a little.

So, on saturday, I'm going to be eighteen. Eighteen.

I'm on mixed feelings about this. I'm older. But I can do more - I can vote, I can go in places I couldn't before, etc.

I guess eighteen is just sort of one of those weird ages. I met a couple of friends when they were around eighteen when I was fourteen/thirteen, and eighteen just seemed like this really amazing, cool age that I would never really see because it was so far in the future.

And now, saturday, I'm gonna be eighteen. I guess in some ways I've matured, but in some ways I guess I'm always going to be that cute girl that's clever and sweet and doesn't get into trouble. Part of me wants to stay that way, but part of me wants to be that good-lookin', kinda mysterious girl that's brave at the same time.

But I guess I'm becoming braver - I was asked if I was going to homecoming by a friend, and I said that I guessed so. This other girl asked if I was going to have a date, and I said I had no idea, but there was this guy that was pretty nice to me and stuff. I actually asked him, but he said he already had a date. I wasn't crushed, because I figured he probably already did, but years ago I wouldn't be in school, let alone even think about asking someone to a date.

So maybe I'm changing, getting better and braver and stuff. So... maybe I'm already getting there.

Holy shit.

It's stuff like this that makes me think "Hey, maybe I'm not as crazy as I thought I was!" and then make me want to get off and read a bit. Which I'll do, I write a little more and then take a shower and stuff.

This is interesting.

I put Henna on my hands and on Mom's feet a couple of days ago. We watched Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and while I did see a couple of things to nitpick, I generally liked it.

Going on a reading binge today, I think. I'm reading Step Right Up! by Dan Mannix. (Yes, I know it says Memoirs of a Sword Swallower, but my book says Step Right Up! on it.)

I am really tired - will probably take a nap.

1. Go to TVTropes.
2. Pick out a few of your favorite Tropes, be they characterization, plots, betrayal, ect.
3. Respond to this post with those.
4. The person that posted this must now write a short story or fanfic or something involving these Tropes and the characters mention.
5. I write for you, you write for me - 's only fair.

Example:

"I want you to write a short drabble with A and D involving Guns Akimbo, Absudly Spacious Sewer, Urban Legends and Dehydrated Oracle. Maybe not in that order."
