Today was, well. First day of school!
First hour - I got a locker that hated me. Really. I had a teacher that looked like Elliot from Leverage try to get the lock off of it. Eventually he told me to go to first hour, they'd get it taken care of by the end of the hour. So I went to first hour, found it was a rather small class, and listened to the teacher explain the new rules and talk for most of the hour. I found out when classes would start and end, and when I would be eating lunch.
Second hour - ASTRONOMY. I managed to *break a pair of scissors* without doing anything. I also got the crappiest book in the class. The day became better when we went to the planetarium and holy crap, the teacher turned off the lights and it was beautiful. We took lots of notes when the lights came back on, but wow. So cool.
Lunch - ... exactly what it says on the tin, you guys.
Third Hour - FORENSICS. We took down lots of notes, got some stuff handed to us, and found out that we might be doing a splatter test with a cantolope. The teacher said she'd put up paper on the walls, because if she didn't the janitors would make her stay and clean it up. We giggled.
We also found out there would be a mock-crime scene, hopefully, and maybe if we were all doing good in class, we'd be able to go see a real fricking autopsy. I'm serious. Oh yes.
Then we left and saw the president's speech. It was really good, and kids were probably happy it got them out of class for a bit.
Fourth Hour - Math. This class is not going to be great, I can tell. How can I tell? The kids were loud. They were bitchy. One got kicked out.
However, it seems like this will actually have an actual purpose. He said it'd be about credit, and balances, and stuff like that. So it seems like it has a reason for existing.
Fifth Hour - AP English and Literature. Ahahahahahahahahaha. Oh god. This seems like it shouldn't be too bad, but... yeah. Expect me to be frazzled and flail at people SO MUCH.
