Because I was tired tired TIRED last night, I couldn't write about the protest. However, I am not tired tired TIRED this morning, only a little sleepy, I can write about it!

The guy that was picking me and a few others up told me that I should show up at the school, since my house was really out of the way. He said 4:30 at the latest, so Grandma and Grandpa took me there. 4:30 came and went, and I was starting to think he wasn't going to show up. A couple of other girls was in front of the school, waiting for somebody as well. Grandma, Grandpa and I were about ready to go home and I was about ready to make an LJ post about my abandonment issues and how people suck when he pulled up.

There were a couple of people in the car already, and when the other girls and I got in, we ended up playing Human Tetris.

... how we managed to fit seven people into a small Saturn is beyond me, but we did. Two people sat on somebody's lap.

We eventually got on our way, listening to Lady Gaga on the way, and getting lost at least twice. We ended up stopping at a gas station and asking for directions. That was fun.

Then we finally found the site of the protest, and we got our signs, and we headed off.

Omg, the SIGNS. There were the usual ones, and there was also the more fun ones - "Gaga for President", "I have a sign!", "Me too!", and a sign that said "Exterminate!" with a Dalek on it. One guy was giving free hugs, which I totally took advantage of.

There were cookies and cupcakes and the best thing? The Westboro Baptist Church didn't even show up! They wussied out! It was a bunch of LGBT people, being awesome and rocking out.

Eventually we left, and I got home by 11. But damn, it was fun.
